It’s nice to meet you.

 FAQs

  • It’s a conversation guided by vulnerability, curiosity, courage, and empathy.

In our first few sessions we’ll explore who you are, where you’ve come from, and what brings you to therapy. We’ll also explore ways in which we can work toward an honest, safe, and resilient partnership for our work together.

Much of the time, we’ll talk about what is coming up for you here-and-now. Other times we’ll practice simple breathing or movement to help regulate your nervous system. At times we’ll engage your creativity through artistic expression to communicate what words sometimes can’t.

As a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive therapist I prioritize the trust we have in our connection before diving deep into anything.

The best way to understand what therapy can feel like with me is to schedule an initial phone call for us to speak and see if we feel like a good fit.

  • I work with many presenting issues, such as:

    • Depression

    • Anxiety

    • Grief and loss

    • LGBTQ+ sexual and gender identity exploration

    • Traumatic experiences and traumatic relationships

    • Career & academic issues and burnout

    • Life transitions

    • Family and social relationship problems

    • Motivation and procrastination

    • Anger and big feelings

    • Coping with oppression based on race, ethnic identity, migration, and identity

    • “I don’t know what, but something just doesn’t feel right in my life.”

  • No. I am an out-of-network provider and cannot bill your insurance directly.

I am happy to provide you with a superbill (a sort of invoice with specific information required by insurance providers) so that you can request reimbursement from your insurance provider. Please consult your insurance plan to determine your out-of-network benefits.

  • Individuals (50 minutes) — $210

Fees will be posted when these offerings are announced. Please reach out to ask or check the services tab.

    Reduced Fee

A portion of my time is reserved for clients who qualify for income-based reduced fees. I may not have any reduced fee spots available, but I can add you to a waitlist so please reach out. Reduced fees are as follows.

    Individuals — $100 to $175

    Couples Therapy/Relationships/Partnerships — $100 to $225

    Payment Options

You can pay with cash, check, or any major credit or debit card, as well as Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). I use an app called Ivy Pay for card payments at the time of your session.

  • I recommend starting off weekly. This gives us the chance to build our rapport, get you oriented to therapy with me, and to build momentum toward your goals. As time goes on, we may both feel like the work is paying off and producing the change you are seeking. At this stage, reducing sessions to every two weeks might be a good option.

I only see clients every three weeks or more if they are planning to end therapy.

  • Schedule a free 20 minute consultation call so we can discuss what brings you to therapy, my approach to therapy, and to address any questions you have.

If we both feel like we are a good fit then we can schedule a regular session time that works for both. If not, I am happy to provide referrals to other therapists and practices who may be a better fit for you.
